Welcome to Tacoma
The University of Puget Sound is working closely with us over here at Pretty Gritty Tours to make sure that you have very opportunity to get to know this incredible city. Tacoma was founded with the hope that it would be the last stop for the railroad as it finally connected the nation in the 1800s. It achieved that dream and drew countless generations to this stunning waterfront city of industry. Today it remains the 5th largest port int he USA and is nested in the shadow of Mt Rainier, or as it we call it here, Mt Tahoma. It remains a beautiful city with a thriving community of inventors, creators, and builders.
Come explore with us and fall in love with the city just like we did.

The naturally cool and stable climate has allowed Tacoma to become a major player in the sweets industry.
