Come discover the ghosts of the Job Carr cabin and the haunted sites left behind by Tacoma's earliest settlers. Job Carr was the most celebrated frontiersman of early Tacoma, serving as the city's first postman and first mayor, and his cabin rested along the shores of Commencement Bay.
His ex-wife, Rebecca, was the most famous clairvoyant in the territory. Today, the Job Carr Cabin Museum is a time capsule with artifacts that illuminate the challenges of the Oregon Trail and the rugged life of Tacoma's frontier days. The site of Job Carr's original cabin is just down the street, as well as the site of Rebecca Carr's cottage. On this tour you will get to visit with Rebecca Carr (through living history performer Karen Haas), explore the Cabin Museum and meet the animatronic Job Carr, and go on a guided walking tour to uncover the ghosts of the neighborhood.
